Is Chlorella the Perfect Food?
Chlorella is a single-cell fresh water algae, often referred to as a near-perfect superfood with a wide array of potential health benefits.
Chlorella gets this label because of its well-balanced ratios of proteins, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It’s around 2/3 protein and 1/8 Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF). CGF is exclusive to chlorella and not readily found in other vitamins or foods.
A bit about the cell walls
One of the main challenges with being able to take advantage of chlorella’s nutrition involves the plant’s cell wall, because it’s a tough, thick wall which can cause digestibility issues. This means that in order to get the optimal benefits from chlorella, the cell wall needs to be weakened or broken for higher bioavailability potential, hence our broken-wall chlorella.
Our chlorella is the Vulgaris sp., ecologically grown outdoors on Ishigaki Island, a beautiful coral reef and mangrove jungle, located at the southern tip of the Japanese archipelago. It grows in a pristine environment with tropical sunshine, pure air and fresh mountain spring water rich in minerals. The chlorella is produced with food-grade nutrients and without pesticides, and is considered to be the finest chlorella anywhere, renowned for its purity, digestibility, taste and CGF content.
Particularly high content of chlorophyll and chlorella extract is a vital characteristic of this chlorella. Rigorously tested by the Japanese government and independent laboratories for potency and purity, our chlorella is free of toxic residues and has no chemical additives.
Chlorella vulgaris is much easier to digest than other species of Chlorella, with the broken cell wall ensuring you can absorb the maximum amount of minerals & vitamins. In addition to the overall nutrition, our highly bioavailable chlorella can also enhance health as follows:
